Cowboy Candy

Published by Mike on October 25, 2018

A little hot and a little sweet make these peppers a real treat!

Ingredients

3# jalapenos  (about 8 cups sliced)

2 cups apple cider vinegar

6 cups sugar

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

1/2 teaspoon celery seed

3 garlic cloves, chopped

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Let’s Make It

Combine all ingredients except peppers.  Simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the peppers and simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove the peppers.

Bring the juices to a rolling boil for 6 minutes.

Add the peppers back in.

Add the peppers and juice to a sterilized pint or half-pint canning jars.

Top the jar with a canning lid and water bath can for 10 minutes for a pint or a half pint.
