Supplies You Will Need to Start Seeds Indoors

*4 bulb florescent shop light alternating  cool white and daylight bulbs or use Grow Light bulbs

*light stand or something to hang your light from

*Table

*Timer to control lights

*Heating mat

*Thermostat to control heating mat

*Seed germinating tray with dome

*Pots to plant seedlings into

*Organic seed starting potting mix

*Spray bottle

*A solid tray to catch water from the seed trays or seedling pots.

* Organic liquid fertilizer (fish emulsion)

*Soil Thermometer

*Spoon to scoop out seedlings

*Space heater if needed

*Your Seed of course

Selecting a Seed Starting Mix

*You want a loose well drained soil mix with small particles

*A mixture of peat moss, perlite and vermiculite is a common mix and it works very well.

*Look for an organic mix that does not contain chemical fertilizer or a chemical wetting agent. If it has an OMRI label on the bag then it will be organic.
