Cucumber Apple Parsley Smoothie

Don’t miss out on using cucumbers when they are in season.  They are so nutritious and are wonderful to keep you hydrated on those hot summer days!

Ingredients:

2 small to medium cucumbers or 1 really long one

1 apple

A good bundle of parsley

1/2 inch ginger

1 tablespoon chia seed

1 cup water

1/2 to 1 cup ice

Optional:  Add a teaspoon of honey

Directions:

Wash your fruits and veggies.  Cut your cucumber into pieces small enough to fit into your Vitamix or Blendtec.

Core your apple.  No need to peel.

Peel your ginger.

Add all ingredients to your Vitamix or Blendtec. Let process until completely blended.  It will be a beautiful green color.

So delicious and nutritious!
