How to Preserve
Canning food was something that I enjoyed growing up. I loved working with my mother and grandmother picking out canned good recipes and spending time together making them. I was involved in 4-H and won many ribbons at the Coweta County Fair when I entered my foods.
Preserving your food is an important part of your kitchen experience, not only preserving food to use later in the year but preserving your vegetables that you have grown, bought at the store or farmers market or have gotten in your CSA share to keep them fresh till you use them later in the week.
My favorite long term food preservation methods that I use are dehydrating, fermenting, making herbal vinegar, freezing and canning.
